"New Year ; New Me ? "

H E L L O! Welcome back. I haven't neglected my blog or forgot to write. I've just been caught up with handling life. With all that being said, HAPPY NEW YEAR ! I know it's the 13th day of 2016 but better late than never. 

Every year from the month of November many people find themselves with the infamous slogan , 'New Year ; New Me..' It has become such a tradition for many that others ignore them when it is posted. Others talk about cutting people off before the year starts. My concern is why wait until the end of the year to cut them off. If there's toxic waste in your life clogging your brain and harboring you in negative ways eliminate it. Don't wait until the new year to get rid of it.

Another famous part of the new year is resolutions. Everyone is always happy to hear your resolutions for the upcoming year. I personally believe that as a person although you may not have a clear and concise resolution, you should still at least set goals that you'd love to achieve for the upcoming year. Realistic goals that is.

So here's what we're going to do this year.

1. For us babies that were born in 1995, it is our 21st year! Let us make this year GREAT! I hope that in 2016 you get one step closer to achieving your dreams. This is for everyone not just 95 babies.

2. For us Black Queens, in 2016 let us value ourselves by maintaining the important and vital parts of us.. Our crowns and bodies. Let's not settle for less and always remember that we are one of God's greatest creations.

3. To our kings out there, 2014-15 you all have suffered in many ways. Nevertheless, do not ever let the way society has portrayed the image of what you guys should be harbor you from fulfilling the goals you have set out for yourself from a tender age.

4. In 2016, we're going to read more. Even if it's just a page and a half a day it still counts. It helps in expanding our minds and vocabularies.

 Most of all, spend some time getting to know yourself a little more. And love yourself unconditionally because in the end no one can love you the way that you love yourself.

For college kids, it's the beginning of a new semester. Therefore, we're given a next shot for that 4.0; a next shot to make things great. With all that's going on in our world today do not be discouraged from achieving your goals. We are the future and our tomorrow's begin today.
