Giving Thanks.

It's Thanksgiving !! The time of the year that everyone look forward to.. Especially college students.

The question that often arises is, "What are you thankful for?" To me, I personally feel that as a person you should not dedicate one day of the year to give thanks. When giving thanks you should do it everyday. Whole-heartedly; not just to seek recognition. Rather, let the thanks flow genuinely from your heart.

What am I thankful for?

  • For being able to see another day above the ground; another year. There are many people who did not make it to see the year 2015. Others rang in the New Year but didn't make it half way through and others never made it to the eleventh month.
  • For family. Family is something I hold closest to my heart. Especially my parents and sisters. My little cousins and little brothers. Family matter to me and it also means a lot to me. There are some cousins that I don't speak to regularly, but they're still in my heart and will receive the love and affection that I give.
  • Friends. The few that I have and consider friends. Dealing with me on a regular is a lot of work. I can be a pain at times; but I guess I'll consider myself to be a great friend.
Honestly, losing my grandma has thought me many things in life. One thing she always assured me along with my mom was in everything I do, that I should give thanks.  So always remember it doesn't matter how big or small it is. Give thanks in whatever you do.

Happy Thanksgiving !!
