Dear Mama & Papa Bear..

Dear Mama Bear,
I've watched you work from the time I came into this world. You always pushed me and reminded me to do my best. And when I felt like giving up you reminded me that I should never settle for less. You've always inspired me to be strong. I've seen you at your weakest points and watched you remain calm. And every time I may slowly wonder away; you know even before I do and ensure me that I need to stay.

And these days, I know that times get hard. You reassure me to put my trust in God no matter what I do. We're living in a reckless world, don't forget to say 'I Love You.' I Love You Too Mama Bear , I know when times get hard you'll always be there. And even though I do crazy stuff at times; you remind me to never drop my crown. Stand tall ; be strong is what you always say and do your best as you step forward each day.

Dear Papa Bear,
I know we may not always agree on things, but you always keep me safe under your wings. You always tell me shoot higher than the sky. I guess cause you feel it's too low and I should try to be higher than that altitude.

If there's one thing I know, is that my dad loves me unconditionally. I've never heard you said to me you can't and even if you did, you always found a way to make it up. Honestly, daddy there aren't that many dads like you. You know the ones that never miss the PTA meetings even if he's super late.

Growing up my parents taught me four things Faith, Love, Hope & Trust.
Faith in God & in everything I do. They both assured me that the best thing to do before I wake up and start my day or when I'm about to conclude it ; that I should talk to God. And thank him for everything.
Love.. If there was no unconditional love I honestly don't know how my life would be. They made the best of everything and ensured we ALWAYS had what we needed. They taught me to love others as I love myself because you may never know what road you end up on in life and who might be there to help you.
Hope. I was always taught to Hope for the best & prepare for the worse. Many times I get frustrated especially living by myself in college and wanting to give up. But the many teachings that I received on hope, make me strive harder.
Trust. 'In everything you do put your Trust in God'

In everything you do always remember to give thanks. Your parents may be paying your way through college ; never forget to thank them even if it's just one parent still thank them. Always remember college is an investment that they're not obligated to invest in. Do your best, make them proud.
I know some people may not be as privileged as me to have both parents by their side. Some may have had their grandparent raised them and never got the chance to meet and interact with their parents. Reality is, no matter what be thankful. Give grandma/grandpa all the praise they deserve.

Maisha :)
